Spring 2016 Special Classes
Rabbi Hoover will teach a five-session course called "What Comes Next? Jewish Views on What Happens After Death." Judaism has no doctrine on an afterlife because we cannot know what happens to our soul after we die. Join the discussion of different Jewish opinions about the afterlife, and Jewish teaching about the soul. 7:30 to 9:00 pm on the following Thursdays: April 7 and 21, May 5 and 19, June 2. $100 per person. Call Alice at the Temple office to register.
Starting Monday, April 11, Rabbi Hoover will lead "Meditation Monday," from 6:30 pm - 7:00 pm. She will offer a Jewish Kavvanah (intention), and we will sit together focusing on our breath for 20 minutes, noticing when the mind wanders and gently bringing the focus back to our breath. A great way to recover from Monday and start the rest of the week. (No session Memorial Day, 5/30)
