posted Apr 17, 2017, 10:33 AM by Heidi Hoover

Please come to hear Holocaust survivors speak and to honor the memory of those who died in the Holocaust. Our observance for Yom HaShoah this year will be Sunday, April 23, at 7 pm in our sanctuary. We are joining with Progressive Temple Beth Ahavath Sholom.

These survivors want to pass on their stories, so don't miss this opportunity, and please bring your school-age children.

Course: Torah Fan Fiction--Midrash

Aggadic midrash, sometimes called legend, is a rabbinic method of telling stories to fill in gaps in the terse Biblical text. Our midrash class will look at famous and obscure midrashim, discussing what the rabbis were teaching and how their ideas can enhance our understanding of biblical text.

Led by Rabbi Heidi Hoover

Five sessions on Thursdays: May 4, 11, and 25, June 8 and 22, 7:00-8:30 pm. $100/person.

Please call Alice in the Temple office to register: 718-282-1596
